Cowboys’ Parsons Fires Back at DeMarcus Lawrence Over Former Team

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons fired back at his former teammate and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence after he made comments about the team during an interview with Hawk Blogger. The exchange started when Parsons posted “COWBOYS vs everybody” on X, followed by a scathing response from Lawrence on social media.

Lawrence, who signed a three-year deal worth up to $42 million with the Seattle Seahawks, made comments about his former team’s chances of winning a Super Bowl. Parsons responded by calling Lawrence’s comments “rejection and envy.”

The exchange escalated until Lawrence posted one final message saying he wouldn’t have left Dallas if Parsons had spent less time tweeting and more time winning. The two players exchanged words on social media until the situation was resolved.

Lawrence’s departure sets up Parsons to take on a leadership role in the team, following the departures of Lawrence, Zack Martin, and Jourdan Lewis this offseason. Parsons’ tweet “It’s my time” earlier this year suggests he is ready for more responsibility.

While some may view Lawrence’s comments as justified, Parsons’ reaction highlights his desire to prove himself as a leader on the field. As one of the league’s top defenders entering his fifth season, Parsons is in prime position to take on that role and lead the Cowboys forward.

With Lawrence now with the Seahawks, it remains to be seen how the two former teammates will interact going forward.
