The open beta of Monster Hunter Wilds has ended, and Capcom’s director Yuya Tokuda has revealed that one of the most common complaints – frequent monster movement – was a bug. The monsters would run away more often than intended due to the issue, frustrating some players.
Tokuda explained that the constant movement was a result of a bug in the beta version and not a design intention. Capcom has since fixed this issue and is refining the game’s processing for the final release on February 28.
The team has been working hard to improve performance, including graphics priority mode at 4K with 30 frames per second variable frame rate, and aiming for 60 frames per second in frame rate priority mode. While there will be some dips during intense scenes, Tokuda is confident that the game’s overall performance will be better than what was seen in the open beta.
With the bug fixed and further improvements on the horizon, Capcom is ensuring a smoother experience for players when Monster Hunter Wilds releases later this year.
