Google Launches Gemini with Personalization, Outpacing Apple in AI Assistant Space

Google has launched Gemini with Personalization, an experimental AI assistant that uses user data to provide more personalized responses. This feature allows users to connect their Search history, Google Photos, and YouTube to better inform the assistant’s answers. To address privacy concerns, Google ensures users have control over the data used and can easily disconnect at any time.

Gemini with Personalization is available as an experimental feature for Gemini and Gemini Advanced subscribers on the web, starting today. The feature will gradually roll out to mobile devices. Users under 18, Google Workspace, and Education users are excluded from accessing this update.

The introduction of Personalization marks a significant step forward for AI assistants in the market. Apple’s attempts at creating a similar personal assistant have been met with limited success. With Gemini’s advanced features, including expanded access to Deep Research and Gems, the company is now outpacing its competitors in terms of AI innovation.
