Kanye West has dropped a new song featuring Sean “Diddy” Combs, which includes his daughter North West. The track, “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” was shared on X on Saturday after a reported dispute with ex-wife Kim Kardashian over its release.
The song also features Christian “King” Combs and Chicago singer Jasmine Williams. It appears that Diddy is giving thanks to someone for taking care of his children, which West claimed was an apology to him. North’s line “When you see me shining, then you see the light” suggests she had a significant role in the song.
Earlier this week, Kardashian sent paperwork to West claiming ownership of the trademark for her daughter’s name, stating it would revert back to North at 18. Kanye responded by threatening to take action if Kim amended the document, suggesting a public feud between them over the issue. A representative for Kardashian has not commented on the matter.
This release comes as West faces multiple legal cases, including charges related to sex trafficking and allegations of antisemitism.
