By torching their van and tossing away license plates, they’re trying to erase all signs of involvement. A brief moment of levity is shared as they recall a childhood bonding ritual – “Bet you I could throw mine further than you.” However, the lighthearted atmosphere is short-lived, and they must focus on finding food before embarking on their perilous journey through the crumbling road ahead, relying on each other for survival in a desperate bid to escape.
