Beloved gaming personality and YouTuber P2istheName, whose real name was Philip Enewally, died Friday at the age of 26. He passed away in his home’s mail room, according to the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office.
Enewally gained a massive following on YouTube for his walkthroughs of popular games like Fortnite and NBA 2K series. He had recently launched his own clothing line, Don’t Mind Us. His friends and peers, including YouTubers ColetheMan and Walter Weekes, took to social media to pay their respects.
Born on April 23, 1998, Enewally grew up in the LA area, attending La Mirada High School for his junior and senior years. He often spoke about how his experiences at local parks and libraries influenced his love for YouTube content creation. In a 2020 interview with VoyageLA, Enewally discussed how his competitive spirit and upbringing shaped his entrepreneurial side.
Enewally’s mother passed away from breast cancer when he was 12, and he was raised by his father, a probation officer who emphasized education. He initially struggled to get his YouTube career off the ground, but eventually gained traction. Before his passing, Enewally planned to move to Atlanta, Georgia, as revealed in one of his final videos.
