Passenger Punched United Gate Agent at Dulles Airport

A 54-year-old man was arrested after punching a United Airlines gate agent at Dulles International Airport in Virginia. The incident occurred when the man, identified as Christopher Stuart Crittenden, attempted to walk onto the jet bridge despite being blocked by the agent. In a viral clip, Crittenden can be heard saying “I’m done with this bulls–t” before launching an attack.

Eyewitnesses reported that flights were frequently canceled due to issues, and one flight Crittenden was trying to board was fully booked. Crittenden was charged with assault and disorderly conduct, and the agent suffered injuries.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Works Union has called on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to take action against such incidents. The union stated that customer service representatives should be able to provide excellent service without fear of violence from passengers. This incident is part of a growing trend of violence against frontline airline workers.
