The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) has reported two additional probable measles cases, bringing the total to four in the state. The new cases were identified on March 14 and are linked to the ongoing Texas and New Mexico outbreak.
The OSDH is urging anyone who visited specific locations during certain times to complete a form if they are unvaccinated or unsure of their vaccine status. These locations include:
* February 27, 2025
* March 2, 2025
* March 12th, 2025
* March 14th, 2025
* March 16th, 2025
Those who visited these locations and are not immune to measles should avoid public settings for 21 days from their exposure date. Individuals with flu-like symptoms or a new rash should self-isolate and contact their healthcare provider.
Health officials confirmed the cases are related to unvaccinated individuals. The OSDH is working with the Tulsa Health Department on this investigation and will provide updates on its website.
