Inter Europol Wins IMSA LMP2 at Sebring

Inter Europol Competition won its first IMSA LMP2 race at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, taking the top spot in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class after a strong comeback in the final hours.

Tom Dillmann and his team secured the win by crossing the finish line 1.117 seconds ahead of Sebastien Bourdais in the No. 8 ORECA prepared by Tower Motorsport. The victory marks the team’s first IMSA LMP2 win, with Dillmann also claiming his second career IMSA victory.

Despite a challenging start to the race, Clarke gained three places during his opening quadruple stint and set the stage for Garg and Dillmann to advance the car into the top three. The No. 43 Inter Europol ORECA LMP2 07 ultimately took the lead with eight laps remaining and held off the competition to secure the win.

“We had a plan; we wanted a quick car in the night, so we had to suffer a bit with the balance in the afternoon,” said Dillmann. “But it worked out well. A mega job by everyone with the team.”
