General Motors Recalls Over 90,000 Cadillacs Due to Transmission Issue

General Motors is recalling over 90,000 Cadillac and Chevrolet vehicles due to a potential transmission issue. The affected vehicles include the 2019-2020 Cadillac CT6, 2020-2021 CT4, CT5, and 2020-2022 Chevrolet Camaro models equipped with a 10-speed transmission.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the transmission may become damaged internally, causing the front wheels to lock up. To address this issue, dealers will install free of charge a transmission control module monitoring software update.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed starting April 21. Affected owners can contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 for more information and assistance.

The NHTSA website provides a complete list of recalled vehicles, allowing owners to check if their vehicle needs repairs.
