Whole Foods Recalls Frozen Macaroni & Cheese Bites Due to Eggs and Meat

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for Whole Foods frozen macaroni and cheese bites due to potential undeclared eggs and meat ingredients. The affected product, ‘365 Whole Foods Market Small Bites Macaroni & Cheese’, was sold nationwide in the frozen food aisle.

Customers who purchased the product between February 6 and March 11 with a best-by-date of November 25 should discard it immediately. Those with valid receipts can bring the products to a store for a full refund.

The recall is a result of a complaint that the product contained meat, contrary to its description as a macaroni and cheese bite. The affected boxes were manufactured by C.H. Guenther & Son LLC and have the UPC Code 99482499709.

This recall comes after Whole Foods recently eliminated its reusable bag incentive program for customers. The program, which offered a 10-cent credit per used bag, was a long-standing policy that aimed to reduce plastic waste.
