Chris O’Donnell is set to star in the first lead role of ABC’s 911 series, 911: Nashville. The show has been ordered with a straight-to-series pick-up and will premiere in the 2025-26 season. O’Donnell will play Capt. Don Sharpe, a rugged fire captain with secrets.
O’Donnell’s casting marks his first ongoing part since NCIS: Los Angeles ended its run on CBS in 2023. The franchise was previously set to explore ideas for a third series, which ultimately led to the Nashville-set spinoff. 911: Nashville joins the flagship series and spinoff 911: Lone Star on ABC, after five seasons on Fox.
O’Donnell’s extensive film career includes starring roles opposite Al Pacino, Pete Davidson, and in iconic movies like Batman Forever. He will be joined by a team of writers and executive producers including Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani, as well as Brad Falchuk and Angela Bassett. O’Donnell is represented by Untitled Entertainment, Gersh, Vision PR, and Jackoway Austen.
