Princess Kate marked St. Patrick’s Day at Wellington Barracks in London, wearing a festive forest green outfit to celebrate the holiday. The Princess of Wales, 43, joined the Irish Guard’s parade, posing for photos and appearing to sip a beer. This comes after Kate revealed her cancer treatment in September last year.
The princess had been undergoing preventative chemotherapy before her treatment ended. She shared on social media that her path to healing was “long” and she needed to focus on each day as it came. In January, Kate announced that her cancer was in remission, saying she remained focused on recovery and looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead.
As honorary Colonel of the foot guard regiment, Princess Kate presented guards with a St. Patrick’s Day shamrock, including Turlough Mor, the Irish wolfhound mascot. The role is currently held by her husband, Prince William. This marks Kate’s first Commonwealth Day service since 2023 and comes after King Charles III returned to the event this month, having also recently battled cancer.
