NASA Astronauts Return Home with Russian Cosmonauts Butch and Suni

NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov are returning home from space, accompanied by two crew members who were originally supposed to travel solo. Butch and Suni had spare seats on their SpaceX Dragon capsule when the mission was downsized from four to two astronauts, and they took advantage of the opportunity to join the crew at the space station. The group, known as crew nine, will now be flying together on their journey back to Earth. This marks Gorbunov’s first trip to space, while Hague spent 203 days on the space station in 2019.
