Former Bachelor Sean Lowe and his wife Catherine Giudici are reeling after a traumatic attack by their dog, Moose, left him with deep cuts on his arm. In an Instagram video posted on Monday, Lowe recounted the events of the past weekend, which began when he tried to calm down Moose during a barbeque at home.
As the smoke alarm went off, Moose attacked Lowe “aggressively,” biting him multiple times and causing severe injuries. Lowe was rushed to the hospital, where he received stitches in several places on his arm. The incident has left Lowe shaken and grateful that his family is safe.
Lowe attributed the attack to what appears to be a traumatic past for Moose, which was not previously known to them. Despite this, he doesn’t blame the dog and expresses sadness at having to rehome Moose due to the risk it poses to his family.
The couple has welcomed three children since their wedding in 2014 and is now seeking guidance on how to care for a potentially volatile pet. Lowe expressed gratitude that it was him and not his kids or wife who were attacked, and thanked the officer who helped them navigate the situation.
