A Delta flight operated by Endeavor Air encountered a wing strike as it was landing at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York, on Sunday night. The incident occurred on Delta flight 4814, which was traveling from Jacksonville, Florida, to New York-LaGuardia.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane’s left wing struck the runway as it came in for a landing at around 10:10 p.m. The pilots then executed a go-around maneuver, and the aircraft landed safely at its arrival gate.
There were no injuries reported, and airport officials stated that there was no impact to airport operations. Two flight attendants and two pilots were on board the plane, which carried 76 passengers.
Delta Air Lines issued a statement saying that the Endeavor Air crew followed established procedures to safely enact a go-around. The airline apologized for any inconvenience caused to its customers.
