Lane Johnson, a five-time All-Pro and two-time Super Bowl champion, will remain an Eagle through the 2027 season after signing a one-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. The deal keeps Johnson in Philadelphia for his fifth NFL season.
Johnson’s impressive performance earned him recognition as the top right tackle in the league, ranking first in pass-blocking grade (88.1), pressure percentage (2.2%), and knockdown percentage (0.2%) per Pro Football Focus. As a dominant force on the Eagles’ offense, Johnson played a crucial role in their dynamic running game led by Saquon Barkley.
The 2024 Eagles won with a strong running game that set an NFL record for points scored in a postseason (145). Johnson’s performance was particularly notable, as he dominated at right tackle and helped propel the team to victories in the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl LIX. With his 13th season underway, Johnson remains one of the league’s top performers.
The signing also brings stability to an already solid offense, with left tackle Jordan Mailata and left guard Landon Dickerson signed through the 2028 season.
