Colin Farrell may be joining the DC Universe (DCU) with a potential role in the upcoming movie Sgt. Rock. The actor, known for his roles in The Batman and Fantastic Beasts series, is currently in negotiations to play the tough-as-nails leader of Easy Company in the film.
Sgt. Rock, directed by Luca Guadagnino, is set within James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU continuity, which differs from Matt Reeves’ The Batman franchise. The movie follows Easy Company as they fight against Nazi forces in Europe during World War II.
Farrell’s casting comes after Daniel Craig was previously attached to the project but dropped out in February 2025. Craig is now reportedly in talks for a role in Greta Gerwig’s Narnia.
No release date has been announced for Sgt. Rock, which will be filmed this summer at DC Studios’ production hub in England. If Farrell’s deal comes through, he will take on the iconic character of Sgt. Rock.
