Ronnie Stanley Reaches Deal with Ravens to Stay with Baltimore

Ronnie Stanley, the right tackle for the Baltimore Ravens, has signed a three-year, $60 million contract extension to remain with the team. This move ensures that he will spend his entire 10-year NFL career with the Ravens, after being drafted by them in 2016.

Stanley has built close relationships with many teammates and coaches during his nine years in Baltimore. He chose not to test the free agent market, opting instead for a contract that keeps him as a crucial part of the team’s protection of quarterback Lamar Jackson’s blindside.

“I’m very happy and appreciative that I could be one of those players who could spend 10 years with the same team,” Stanley said in a Zoom press conference. “That being rare is just a cool thing to me.”

Stanley felt an allegiance to the Ravens from the start, knowing they would make him a fair offer. The team was able to reach an agreement that provided Stanley with more security while allowing them cap room to make other moves.

“I’m always going to give them first dibs when it comes to things like that out of respect,” he said.

Stanley played every game in 2024 for the first time in his career, logging a career-high 1,089 snaps. He made the Pro Bowl for the second time and was often seen working on technique with younger offensive linemen.

“I think that’s what has allowed me to play for as long as I have,” Stanley said, referring to his focus on continuous improvement.

The Ravens’ success in 2024, including setting records for passing and rushing touchdowns, will not distract from their ultimate goal: winning a Super Bowl. “We’ve broken so many records – we don’t really care about it,” Stanley said. “Winning a Super Bowl is what matters.”
