Apple Confirms Titanium Frame for iPhone 17 Pro Models

Contrary to recent reports suggesting an aluminum and glass hybrid material for the back plate, a prominent leaker now claims that the iPhone 17 Pro models will feature a titanium frame with glass at the back. Instant Digital, a known leaker, states that it’s “not possible” for Apple to reintroduce an aluminum design with the launch of the iPhone 17 Pro next year.

Instant Digital says that the idea of switching to aluminum is unlikely due to Apple’s emphasis on premium frame materials in their Pro series. The company has used surgical-grade stainless steel and titanium in recent models, including the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone X. If the trend continues, it’s likely that the iPhone 17 Pro models will also feature a titanium finish.

However, Instant Digital’s claims should be taken with a grain of salt, as they have a mixed track record. The final word on the design of the iPhone 17 Pro remains with Apple, which is set to introduce an all-new iPhone 17 Air model next year. As more information becomes available closer to launch, we will provide updates on this story.
