Bears’ Olamide Zaccheaus Finds Parallels with Chicago in Washington

Chicago Bears wideout Olamide Zaccheaus has joined a similar rebuild under new coach Ben Johnson, just like he did in Washington last season. In 2025, Zaccheaus will join the team with quarterback Caleb Williams, a new head coach and remade offensive line. The key to success will be Williams becoming as efficient and dynamic as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was in Washington.

Zaccheaus praises Daniels’ mental approach, saying he has the talent to become a top-tier quarterback but needs to work on slowing down the game. Zaccheaus also highlighted the importance of connection among players, coaches, and staff in building success. He believes playing under Johnson will excite him, given the coach’s creative offense and team play.

The 27-year-old wideout will slide into the slot role for the Bears but can also play inside or outside, making him a movable piece in Johnson’s scheme. Zaccheaus’ addition is an intriguing one, filling a gap alongside D.J. Moore and Rome Odunze, and he should take on some gadget plays.

Zaccheaus was drawn to playing under Johnson due to the team’s creative offense and hard work ethic. He’s excited to build on that and get to work with the new coaching staff.
