Patriots Sign Free Agent Center Garrett Bradbury to 2-Year Deal

The New England Patriots have signed center Garrett Bradbury to a two-year contract worth up to $12 million, including $3.8 million guaranteed, according to sources. This move comes after the release of veteran center David Andrews last week and appears to solidify the team’s offensive line in front of quarterback Drake Maye.

Bradbury, 29, was released by the Minnesota Vikings on Monday. He started all 88 games he appeared in for the Vikings, including all 17 last season. The Patriots’ new signing will join Mike Onwenu at right guard and Morgan Moses at right tackle, providing three key players to anchor the offense.

Bradbury is one of the NFL’s smaller centers, weighing 300 pounds. Despite his size, he has struggled with being overpowered by opposing defensive linemen. The Vikings replaced him with Ryan Kelly, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, after signing him to a new three-year deal in 2022 with no guaranteed money for 2025.

The Patriots’ move brings stability to their offensive line and addresses the void created by Andrews’ departure. With Bradbury at center, the team appears to have a solid foundation in place, bolstered by Onwenu and Moses on either side.
