Analysts predict that the upcoming Apple foldable iPhone will cost around $2,300, according to research notes and industry rumors. This price would be higher than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6, which starts at $1,899.
The pricing prediction comes from Barclays analyst Tim Long, who visited hardware makers in Asia and believes companies are preparing for a 2026 or 2027 launch. However, Apple plans to sell a limited quantity of the foldable due to its high price.
Similar predictions have been made by supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who estimates the price between $2,000 and $2,500. Kuo claims that the phone will be a “true AI-driven device” with features like an internal screen that can enable travel planning with Siri.
The first foldable iPhone is expected to feature a near-creeless display, a 5.5-inch cover display, and a larger 7.8-inch internal screen. The phone is predicted to measure between 9 and 9.5mm when closed and around 4.5-4.8mm when opened.
Analysts also predict that the foldable iPhone will launch in 2026 or potentially earlier in 2027. If it launches in 2026, it might be part of the iPhone 18 series, while Apple could debut it at a separate event instead of its usual fall iPhone launch.
