Sudan has been embroiled in a devastating civil war for almost two years, leaving millions affected and the country on the brink of collapse. The conflict between the army and a rival paramilitary force has claimed over 150,000 lives and displaced more than 12 million people. A further 30 million are in need of humanitarian aid as major cities lie in ruins.
