Mojang hosted its first Minecraft Live broadcast of 2025 this weekend, revealing several exciting updates and new content. The main highlight was the upcoming “Spring To Life” game drop, set to release on March 25 for all platforms.
The Spring To Life update brings new life to the Overworld, featuring warm and cold variants of classic mobs, ambient features like falling leaves and whispers of sand, and more opportunities for exploration. This update aims to make player travels and builds even more immersive.
Additionally, a free Minecraft Movie Hero skin pack has been released, allowing players to embody their favorite character from the film. The team also announced an upcoming in-game live event between March 25 and April 7, where completing challenges will reward exclusive content.
Minecraft will also receive a new graphical set of enhancements called “Vibrant Visuals,” which can be tested soon on select platforms. Two notable additions to this update are the dried ghast block and Locator Bar feature, allowing players to see their friends’ locations on the map at all times.
The Deep Dig aftershow included an extended look at new content, including the Spring To Life update, a Happy Ghast ride, and a playtest of one of the challenges in the upcoming in-game movie event.
