O’Donnell made the comments during an appearance on The Late Late Show from Ireland, where she now resides. She questioned why Donald Trump won every swing state and has a strong relationship with his largest donor, who is also the owner of X and Starlink.
O’Donnell expressed concern over the possibility that Musk’s influence may have impacted the election outcome, saying “I hope that would be investigated.”
The actress moved to Ireland after the 2024 election due to concerns about democracy in the US. She hopes Americans will use their voice to protest and demand constitutionally-governed rule.
O’Donnell and Trump have a tumultuous relationship and exchanged insults for years. The actress also shared her reasons for moving to Ireland, stating it’s “heartbreaking” to see what’s happening politically in the country.
