Arc System Works has announced new content for Guilty Gear Strive just ahead of the game’s top 8 players at the Arc World Tour Finals 2024. The update includes a debut trailer for Venom, a new character set to release on March 24.
Venom will bring his infamous Ball Set special move back to the game, along with new moves to keep his playstyle fresh. A unique robotic copy of Ky Kiske named Robo-Ky will also be added, assisting Venom in certain moves and forming an unusual but welcome duo.
In May, Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers anime newcomer Unika will join the roster, following her original Spring 2025 schedule. In-game frame data for all characters is set to be added in May, making it easier for players to analyze and improve their gameplay.
Later this year, a real Ranked Match mode will be introduced in June-August, allowing players to compete against opponents of similar skill levels without the need for online lobbies or friend lists. The update also marks a significant step towards completing Season 4, with other content including Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collab character Lucy still on track for a Summer 2025 release.
Guilty Gear Strive is currently available across multiple platforms, including PS4/PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
