Tesla Showroom Vandalized with Incendiary Devices in Austin

A Tesla showroom in Austin, Texas, was targeted by vandals who planted multiple “incendiary” devices. The FBI is assisting the local police department in the investigation. This incident is the latest attack on a Tesla location, which has faced criticism over CEO Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration. Musk is overseeing a plan to drastically slash federal spending and employee headcount as part of his position in the administration.

The Austin Police Department responded to the scene at around 8 am local time after the bomb squad identified suspicious devices. The devices were taken into custody without incident, but police did not reveal any suspects. The FBI is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

This latest attack follows a spate of vandalism against Tesla properties in recent months. Attorney General Pam Bondi has described the incidents as “domestic terrorism.” Elon Musk was at the White House attending a Cabinet meeting when news broke of the police activity at the Tesla showroom.
