Brett Gardner’s 14-year-old son Miller has passed away, and officials in Costa Rica have released a preliminary cause of death. According to the Judicial Investigation Agency, Miller likely died from suffocation after possibly ingesting a toxic substance.
The agency stated that Miller probably suffered asphyxia after intoxication, but the exact cause of death remains under investigation. The autopsy results could take two to three months to determine the exact cause of death.
Gardner shared the news on March 23, saying his son died peacefully in his sleep. He also paid tribute to Miller, describing him as a “beloved son and brother” who lived life to the fullest every day.
The family is still seeking answers after Miller’s sudden death, but they have expressed gratitude for support from friends and faith during this difficult time.
