Gene Hackman’s Wife Fears Being Followed by Stranger Months Before Her Death

Gene Hackman, the renowned actor, and his wife Betsy Arakawa Hackman passed away in mysterious circumstances. Newly released bodycam footage obtained by Fox News Digital reveals that Betsy expressed concern about being followed by a stranger on two separate occasions in December.

The hairstylist who had been working with Betsy, Christopher, shared her concerns with law enforcement. According to him, Betsy told him that a man who had parked outside their gated community had followed them to White Rock and even pulled out a folder of photos of her husband. The man offered them a bottle of wine but they declined.

Betsy reportedly approached the stranger and told him to have more respect. However, Christopher expressed concern that she should not have done so, as it made him nervous.

The news has sparked questions about the circumstances surrounding their deaths. A lawyer for the Hackmans’ estate filed a petition in state District Court in Santa Fe to prevent the release of footage related to their deaths, citing the couple’s right to privacy.

Despite this, the estate was recently awarded a temporary restraining order against the release of records regarding their deaths. The order restricts the disclosure of certain photographs and videos, including those containing images of the couple’s bodies or footage of any deceased animals at their residence.

The investigation into Gene Hackman’s death is ongoing, with officials citing hantavirus pulmonary syndrome as the cause of his passing. Betsy died from hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer’s disease playing a significant role in her death.

As the inquiry continues, questions remain about the strange interactions between Betsy and the stranger who allegedly followed them.
