Two planes of the Patrouille de France, a precision aerobatics team of the French Air and Space Force, collided near an air base in northeastern France on Tuesday. Three people were found unconscious, officials said.
One Alpha jet plane hit a silo, causing a fire, while two pilots and a passenger ejected from the aircraft and were initially reported as being unconscious. However, one person suffered multiple injuries. Fortunately, there were no civilian casualties.
The planes were performing a maneuver involving a dive when the collision occurred. The incident happened near an air base west of Saint-Dizier in northeastern France.
French Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu tweeted that emergency services had been mobilized following the accident during rehearsals.
