iOS 19 Design: Mark Gurman Clarifies Leaked Mockups as Inaccurate

Mark Gurman has clarified the authenticity of leaked iOS 19 mockup images shared by Jon Prosser, stating they are based on “very old builds” or vague descriptions and lack key features. According to Gurman, we can expect more from Apple in June. The leak’s accuracy has raised questions about the extent of design changes in the upcoming update.

Prosser initially claimed his mockups were based on the real iOS 19 design, but Gurman believes he may have seen “very old screenshots” or hasn’t seen the actual operating system. The leaked images depict minor design tweaks, such as a rounded keyboard and navigation button updates in the Messages app.

Gurman has hinted at significant changes to the iOS look, describing it as “fundamentally changing” with an update that will “mark the biggest design refresh since iOS 7.” However, no specific details have been provided on the upcoming changes. Apple is expected to unveil its vision for the new operating system’s style, which is loosely based on Vision Pro’s interface.
