Packers Rule Out Several Key Players for Thursday’s Game Against Detroit

The Green Bay Packers have ruled out several key players, including cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee), receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring), and cornerback Corey Ballentine (knee), for Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

Injuries to Alexander, a seventh-year cornerback, and Ballentine, a rookie cornerback, have been ongoing since October 27 in Jacksonville. Meanwhile, Doubs has yet to clear the concussion protocol despite being listed as limited all week.

On the other hand, linebacker Isaiah McDuffie (ankle) is expected to be available after upgrading from full participation on Wednesday. The fourth-year linebacker had a notable game on Thanksgiving with 10 tackles, a pass deflection, and forced fumble in Green Bay’s win over Miami. Other players like Josh Jacobs (calf), Kenny Clark (rest), John FitzPatrick (back), Elgton Jenkins (knee), Josh Myers (pectoral), Rasheed Walker (knee), and Colby Wooden (shoulder) are also expected to be available.

The Lions have ruled out tackle Taylor Decker (knee), defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike (hamstring), and defensive lineman DJ Reader (shoulder). Cornerback Carlton Davis III (knee) did not receive a game status but is expected to play, while cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (hamstring) was also listed as available.
