Mark Ronson Injured While Setting Up Stage Equipment After Poor House PA

DJ and producer Mark Ronson, 49, is recovering in hospital after popping two tendons in his bicep while trying to move stage equipment during a performance. The injury occurred due to the heavy weight of the stage monitor, which he attempted to one-hand turn mid-mix.

Ronson explained that the house PA system was not functioning well, causing him to try and compensate by adjusting the stage monitor manually. Despite his efforts, the result was two popped bicep tendons and an early finish to his gig.

A popped bicep typically occurs at the elbow joint, often after lifting a heavy object, such as a stage monitor. Treatment may involve physical therapy, rest, or in severe cases, surgery.

Ronson has been performing in support of his upcoming memoir, “Night People: How to Be a DJ in ’90s New York City,” which is set to capture the transformative period of his life and celebrate his love for DJing and 1990s New York City. The book will serve as a personal reflection on Ronson’s journey and how it shaped his identity.
