Curry Leads Warriors to Victory Over Nuggets

Golden State Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets 118-104 on Friday night, extending their winning streak to five. Stephen Curry scored 36 points and Brandin Podziemski added 26 as they pulled within a half-game of the Nuggets in the Western Conference.

The Warriors built a double-digit lead in the third quarter and maintained it for the rest of the game. Curry hit a crucial 3-pointer midway through the quarter, which gave Golden State a 15-point lead. He also completed a three-point play with under three minutes left to keep the lead at 15.

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 33 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. However, without Jamal Murray due to a hamstring injury, the Nuggets lost their third straight game and fell to the Warriors for the first time in nine games.

The Warriors have improved significantly since trading for Jimmy Butler, who has been instrumental in their success. Curry has averaged 41.7 points over his last three games, demonstrating his form going into Sunday’s matchup against the Rockets.
