No. 10 Alabama Dominates North Carolina 94-79 in ACC-SEC Challenge

No. 10 Alabama beat No. 20 North Carolina 94-79 in the ACC-SEC Challenge, extending its winning streak over Top 25 opponents to three games for the first time since the 2020 season. Mark Sears led Alabama with 20 points, while Aden Holloway and Labaron Philon chipped in with 15 points each.

Alabama’s balanced scoring, which saw five players reach double-figure points totals, helped propel the Crimson Tide to a convincing victory. The team also made 12 three-pointers, outscoring North Carolina 5-28 from beyond the arc.

The Tar Heels struggled with first-half holes, falling behind 43-34 at intermission. However, freshman Ian Jackson scored a season-high 23 points, including RJ Davis and Seth Trimble adding 18 and 12 points respectively.

Alabama’s win counters a loss earlier in the season to Purdue, while North Carolina will look to regroup after losing three straight games. The Crimson Tide hosts Creighton on December 14, while the Tar Heels face Georgia Tech at home this Saturday.
