Nvidia Unveils AI Supercomputers with PetaFLOP Processing Power

Nvidia has introduced two artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputer systems, the DGX Spark and DGX Station, designed for data scientists, researchers, and students. These powerful machines utilize Nvidia’s Blackwell Ultra platform, promising speeds of up to 1,000 times faster than high-end desktop PCs or laptops.

TheDGX Spark is a compact, laptop-sized device, while the DGX Station is larger and more powerful. Both systems rely on the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip for processing power, with the former delivering 1,000 AI TOPS (trillions of operations per second). The machines come equipped with unified system memory and Nvidia’s full stack of AI software.

The DGX Station boasts an impressive 748 GB of memory and features a high-speed ConnectX-8 SuperNIC. It also uses the NVLink-C2C Interconnect, enabling fast connections between internal components. This powerful machine is designed for large-scale AI training and inferencing workloads.

Available now, the Nvidia DGX Spark starts at $3,999, while its larger sibling, the DGX Station, will be available later in 2025 from various manufacturers. According to Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s CEO, these machines represent a natural next step in AI development, enabling AI-native developers and applications.
