Max’s The Pitt Season 2 to Premiere on Fourth of July Weekend

Production has begun on the new season of Max’s drama series “The Pitt,” with a unique twist this time around. Executive producer R. Scott Gemmill revealed that the upcoming episodes will take place over a Fourth of July weekend, 10 months after the final hour of Season 1.

According to Gemmill, who appeared at Deadline’s Contenders TV on Saturday alongside fellow EP John Wells and star Noah Wyle, the show’s production team is looking for talented professionals to join the cast. Wyle emphasized the importance of creativity, passion, and teamwork in auditioning for Season 2.

The Pitt has gained praise for its commitment to supporting background actors throughout its run, with many guest stars working on the show for months or even all eight episodes. The production team’s efforts to maintain continuity have been notable, with crew members also wearing scrubs during filming.

The cast for Season 2 includes a diverse range of actors, including Tracey Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, and Fiona Dourif. The show is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with Gemmill as the series’ creator and executive producer.

While the show’s production has been based in Los Angeles due to ongoing wildfires, some exterior scenes were filmed in Pittsburgh, including at Allegheny General Hospital. The show’s producers have also made an effort to support local talent, inviting new actors to audition for the role of medical staff.
