Ring founder Jamie Siminoff has returned to Amazon as a vice president, leading the teams behind popular smart home devices Ring, Blink, and Sidewalk. He is replacing Liz Hamren, who had taken over after Siminoff’s initial departure in 2021.
According to an Amazon Q&A, Siminoff views his return as a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” driven by the AI transformation happening at the company. He plans to focus on creating seamless experiences for customers through innovative devices and services.
Siminoff previously sold a new company, Honest Day’s Work, to Latch in 2021, with plans to move into an advisory role in 2025.
