Costco will temporarily close all its 617 stores in the United States for 24 hours on April 20, as per the retail chain’s tradition of keeping stores closed on major holidays like Labor Day and Thanksgiving. This year, the store won’t be open due to it being Easter Sunday.
However, some Costco locations will operate on Good Friday (April 18) from 9 AM to 8:30 PM, and Holy Saturday (April 19) from 9:30 AM to 6 PM. In contrast, its competitor Walmart will remain open on Easter Sunday. Many Kroger stores will also stay open on April 20.
Despite the store closures, Costco’s online platform, Costco.com, will continue to operate as usual.
