The Philadelphia 76ers are facing a tough stretch, having lost 11 straight games. However, one player stood out in their latest loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves – Tyrese Maxey with 16 points. He was followed closely by Quentin Grimes who scored 28 points and grabbed three rebounds.
Despite being bottled up at times, Grimes found his rhythm in the fourth quarter, shooting 5-of-6 from three. His performance kept the Sixers in the game until the end. However, Anthony Edwards’ clutch shot with seven seconds left sealed the win for Minnesota.
In other performances, Lonnie Walker IV contributed 18 points and five assists, while Guerschon Yabusele added 19 points and four rebounds.
The loss drops the Sixers to 23-55, putting them in fifth place for lottery odds. They will face the Miami Heat on Monday night.
According to a poll, 69% of fans believe Quentin Grimes was the Sixers’ Bell Ringer of the night, while Lonnie Walker IV and Guerschon Yabusele received 8% and 23%, respectively.
