Blackmagic Design has announced two new accessories to enhance its popular PYXIS 12K camera: the Pro Handle and Pro Grip. These additions transform the PYXIS into a flexible, professional-grade run-and-gun camera ideal for ENG (Electronic News Gathering) and documentary work.
The Pro Handle is designed with outdoor shooting in mind, featuring an integrated HD OLED viewfinder with precision glass optics for accurate framing. The handle also boasts high-quality stereo microphones with ultra-low noise floors, making it suitable for capturing great sound in various locations. Additional features include a zoom rocker, easy-to-reach record start/stop button, and custom function buttons.
The Pro Grip takes versatility to the next level, adding a secure hand strap, an assignable camcorder-style zoom rocker, and record button. This accessory makes the Blackmagic PYXIS 12K even more suitable for fast-paced productions.
Both accessories are set to be released in June. The Pro Handle will retail for $119 USD, while the Pro Grip will cost $895 USD.
