Auburn Tigers have made several high-profile signings on signing day. Darrion Smith, a defensive end from Tennessee, has committed to the team, marking a flip for Auburn after initially committing to the Volunteers. Quarterback Deuce Knight and linebacker Elijah Melendez also officially signed with the team.
Additionally, Jared Smith, a defensive end from Tennessee, has joined the team. These signings bring new talent to the roster as the Tigers look to continue their successful season.
In a closely contested matchup against Duke, Auburn fell 84-78 despite a strong performance from Tahaad Pettiford, who scored 20 points off the bench. The Blue Devils’ defense and transition game played a crucial role in securing the win. Despite the loss, Auburn’s efforts were led by Johni Broome’s double-double, as well as significant contributions from Chad Baker-Mazara and Miles Kelly.
Auburn will look to bounce back from this setback when they face Richmond on Sunday at Neville Arena.
