Chicago Bears’ Offseason Workout Program Dates Announced

The NFL has released its offseason workout program dates for all 32 teams, including the Chicago Bears. As they have a new head coach, the Bears will report earlier than other teams and participate in an additional voluntary veteran minicamp. The team’s first day is scheduled for April 7, marking the beginning of Phase One.

The first phase lasts two weeks and involves limited activities such as meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation. The second phase, which kicks off on April 21-23, includes on-field workouts with a focus on individual instruction, drills, and perfect play drills. However, live contact and team offense vs. team defense drills are not permitted.

Phase Three begins four weeks later and allows players and coaches to participate in practice field activities, including 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills without live contact. The Bears’ Organized Team Activity (OTA) dates are set for May 20-22, May 27-30, and June 9-11.

The team’s Mandatory Minicamp is scheduled for June 3-5, followed by a Rookie Minicamp at an unspecified time after the NFL Draft. Each team can also hold a rookie football development program for seven weeks starting on May 12.
