Men’s NCAA Championship Game: Florida vs Houston

The stage is set for Monday’s 2025 men’s NCAA Tournament national championship game as No. 1-seeded Florida takes on Houston in what promises to be an exciting matchup.

Florida, seeded first, has made a thrilling comeback from a nine-point deficit in the second half to knock off Auburn 79-73 and advance to the championship game. Meanwhile, Houston, which is seeking its first national title since 1984, overcame a 14-point lead to stun freshman sensation Cooper Flagg and Duke 70-67.

This will be Houston’s first appearance in a championship game since 1984 and marks a historic moment for the program. For Florida, this will be their first national championship game appearance since 2007, when they won it all two years prior.

The teams have not faced each other since December 1973, with Houston winning 97-73. Despite the Cougars’ lead in the series, 2-0, Florida is looking to turn the tide and bring home their second national title.

The 2025 men’s NCAA Tournament national championship game will tip off at 8:50 p.m. ET on Monday, April 7, at the Alamodome in San Antonio. CBS will air the game, with a broadcast team featuring Ian Eagle, Bill Raftery, and Grant Hill providing play-by-play and analysis.

Viewers can catch the game live on CBS or stream it online through March Madness Live or Fubo, which offers a free trial.
