Justin Simmons Seeks Winning Situation in Free Agency

Free agent safety Justin Simmons, who played for the Falcons last season, is looking to sign with a winning team this offseason. Simmons, who completed his one-year deal with Atlanta last year, wants to go to a team that will give him the best chance of success.

“I want to go to the best situation and a team that’s going to win,” Simmons said in an interview. “I think training camp can be tough, especially as you get older, but it also builds rapport with your teammates.”

Simmons spent last year playing 16 games for the Falcons, recording 62 total tackles, seven passes defensed, and two interceptions. With 32 career picks, he is considered one of the top free agents in 2025.

Although Simmons played a significant role for the Falcons, it’s unclear if they would re-sign him this offseason. “It was a one-year thing,” Simmons said. “They like to develop their younger guys.” However, Simmons remains optimistic about his chances with the Falcons and is open to exploring other options.
