Razer’s new Blade 16 laptop is no longer available for purchase in the US due to recent tariffs imposed on Chinese and Taiwanese goods. The company paused its direct sales in the country after April 1st, when the tariffs took effect. The configurator for preordering the Blade 16 was removed from its website, and customers are now only offered “notify me” buttons.
The move comes as other companies, such as Framework, have already halted US sales due to the impact of tariffs on their products. Micron has reportedly confirmed that it will apply surcharges to its memory chips once the tariffs take effect after midnight tonight.
The situation is mirrored in other countries where Razer’s site remains active, but with limited product offerings. The company has yet to respond to queries about the pause in sales or confirm whether it will resume them when the tariffs are lifted.
