The Philadelphia Eagles are seeking a replacement for safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and former Broncos standout Justin Simmons is expressing interest in filling the role. According to Simmons, he would be a good fit for the team due to his experience working with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and coach Christian Parker. Simmons played for Fangio during two seasons as head coach of the Denver Broncos and recorded 14 interceptions and 36 pass breakups. With the Eagles’ youth movement on defense already in place, a signing would provide veteran presence but also pose competition for young players Sydney Brown, Lewis Cine, and Tristin McCollum. Simmons remains a name to watch as the offseason continues.
