Mariners’ Victor Robles Out for at Least 12 Weeks

Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles is facing a potentially lengthy absence from the team due to a shoulder injury. A small fracture in his left shoulder has been diagnosed, and he will miss at least 12 weeks of play.

The severity of the injury has yet to be determined, but Mariners executive vice president Justin Hollander has stated that surgery may not be necessary at this time. However, if surgery is required, Robles could miss the remainder of the season.

Robles was placed on the injured list after making a diving catch in a game against the San Francisco Giants. The injury occurred when his elbow appeared to make contact with a padded wall as he attempted to secure the ball.

In the short term, if Robles avoids surgery, it is estimated that he will need six weeks of rehabilitation before returning to action. This would put him on track for a potential return in late May or early June, considering he was initially expected to be the leadoff hitter for the team.

Robles has had success in his career with the Washington Nationals and Seattle Mariners, recording 35 home runs, 185 RBIs, and 257 runs in 617 games. His current injury is a setback, but the Mariners will continue to monitor his progress and provide updates on his status.
