Pulp Reunite with New Album ‘More’ After 24 Years

British pop band Pulp is back with their highly anticipated follow-up album “More”, set to release on June 6 via Rough Trade Records. Recorded at Orbb Studio in London over three weeks, the album marks the shortest recording time for a Pulp album ever, as stated by Jarvis Cocker.

The album’s first single, “Spike Island”, is an inquiry into artificial intelligence, created using repurposed photographs from Pulp’s 1995 album “Different Class” and fed into an A.I. app. The video was directed by Cocker himself and explores the concept of transformation and reality.

More features contributions from Richard Hawley, Jason Buckle, and the Eno family, among others. The band practiced a new song called “Hymn of the North” during soundchecks in 2023, which sparked the creation of the rest of the album’s songs. The album is dedicated to late Pulp drummer Steve Mackey.

Pulp will co-headline two nights at the Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl with LCD Soundsystem this September. The album’s tracklist includes “Spike Island”, along with other previously announced tracks, showcasing the band’s return after a 24-year hiatus.
